PlayStation

Sega is gearing up for a massive reveal, pulling back the curtain on several highly anticipated titles from its global studios. At Gamescom 2026, attendees will get a sneak peek at six major projects, offering some exciting first looks at gameplay that promises epic adventures, deep strategy, and wild action.

Among the lineup are the grand strategy epic Total War: Warhammer 40,000, a reimagined classic, and a host of unique experiences that blend innovative mechanics with beloved franchises. Here is a look at the gameplay details revealed for these upcoming releases.

Persona 4 Revival

The journey begins in the peaceful yet unsettling rural town of Inaba, where players step into the shoes of a teenage transfer student. The core mystery revolves around the mysterious Midnight Channel, a television phenomenon that reveals dark secrets during rainy nights. Developed by P-Studio, the hands-on demo is divided into three “Channels,” offering different facets of the adventure.

Channel 1 immerses players directly into the eerie Shopping District, where they confront the first Shadow, Spiteful Hablerie, and awaken their Persona, Izanagi. Channel 2 invites free exploration of modernized dungeons set in Yukiko’s Castle, culminating in a challenging boss fight against Shadow Chie and her Persona, Tomoe. Channel 3 allows players to experience daily life in Inaba before venturing into Yukiko’s dungeon, where they can utilize a new Prime Time meter for explosive destruction.

Players around the world can experience this modernized RPG classic on the PlayStation 5 on February 18, 2027.

Total War: Warhammer 40,000

Heading into the grim darkness of the far future, Total War: Warhammer 40,000 marks the series’ debut onto the PlayStation. The Gamescom demo immediately throws players into the maelstrom of combat across three scenarios that escalate in scale and difficulty.

The initial scenario focuses on fundamental warfare, teaching players core controls, unit selection, and the new reinforcement system that allows drop pods to descend upon the enemy. The second scenario introduces the new customization system, allowing players to forge a unique Space Marine army by choosing colors, heraldry, and names before engaging in a medium-sized battle against the Orks. The final scenario serves as the ultimate test, placing players in command of a massive force against an Ork horde on a grim Imperial battlefield, demanding tactical choices and spectacular clashes.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour

Sega is bringing the iconic arcade racer to the next generation with Crazy Taxi: World Tour, featuring a brand-new Germany map as one of five international destinations. This new terrain is packed with winding streets and twisty turns, complete with familiar regional landmarks and renowned brands like Puma and Zwilling.

Drivers will need to master new mechanics, including “Crazy Moves” like Crazy Dash, Crazy Stop, and the newly introduced Crazy Drift, alongside a Nitro Boost for bursts of speed. Players will tear across fields, drifting around tight corners, executing slick combos, and tackling extreme missions.

Fans who missed the Gamescom event still have an opportunity to experience the game through the Crazy Taxi: World Tour Multiplayer Closed Network Test, running from September 11 to 13. Submissions for this test close August 31.

This thrilling title is slated to launch on the PlayStation 5 next year.

Stranger Than Heaven

The hands-on demo for Stranger Than Heaven offers an ambitious look at Makoto Daito’s fifty-year journey across Japan, showcasing a revitalized look at three of the five eras and cities. This includes bustling train stations in industrial towns like Kokura (1915), the snow-covered naval city of Kure (1929), and the rain-soaked nightscape of Minami (1943), highlighting RGG Studio’s detailed world-building.

Beyond the visual overhaul, players can experience an updated combat system. It utilizes shoulder buttons and triggers to allow players to control the left and right sides of Makoto’s body independently and intuitively, making street brawls chaotic and visceral.

Alien Isolation 2

Following the success of the original, Alien Isolation 2 kicks off with a prologue mission that drops players into the wild frontiers of Kurosaki, a Weyland-Yutani colony. Here, a section of Sevastopol station crashes, and the question remains: who or what hitched a ride onto the planet’s surface?

As the new protagonist, Blake, investigates the wreckage, players immediately engage in a terrifying game of cat-and-mouse as they try to escape the ultimate killing machine. This action-packed prologue sets a terrifying tone for what lies ahead, and players are eagerly awaiting the unfolding horror.

Sonic Pico Park

Developed by Pico Park Inc., Sonic Pico Park promises a return to the signature puzzle-driven co-op action of the original Pico Park titles, infused with a classic Sonic the Hedgehog twist. Players can choose their favorite characters, including Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, and the newly added Shadow the Hedgehog, to either collaborate on puzzle-solving or unleash classic Sonic chaos.

The game will support up to eight players with cross-platform and online capabilities, allowing teams to tackle challenges together. Stay tuned for more details on this exciting co-op adventure scheduled for late 2026.
