Best Ocarina of Time bonus found at a French retailer
The anticipation is palpable. With the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time just a few weeks away, the focus has shifted from mere anticipation to the hunt for the perfect collectible. Retailers are turning up the heat, transforming pre-orders into treasure hunts for nostalgic relics and exclusive launch events.
One of the most exciting developments is the focus on physical memorabilia. French retailer Micromania, for instance, is ensuring that fans get their dose of classic nostalgia by providing replica PAL-edition Ocarina of Time Nintendo 64 boxes to customers who pre-order the modern Switch 2 physical copies. This move transforms a simple purchase into a collector’s opportunity, sending players home with the iconic black and gold design they’ve been chasing.
To amplify the excitement, a series of midnight launch events are being planned across various locations. Fans can look forward to special openings where stores will distribute these replica boxes, allowing attendees to retrieve a piece of gaming history just hours after the official release.
These midnight openings are scheduled for November 4th and 5th, offering a unique window to connect with the legacy of the game. Participating stores across France, including locations in Antibes, Bordeaux Centre-Ville, Lille-Béthune, Lyon Victor Hugo, Nice Médecin, Paris Beaugrenelle, Paris Caumartin, Paris Général Leclerc, Reims Centre-Ville, Rouen Gros Horloge, and Toulouse St Rome, will be facilitating this special distribution.
Beyond the launch events, the lure of pre-order bonuses remains a major draw. While some regions offer limited incentives, others provide a richer loot experience. For example, certain retailers are offering substantial bundles, including free wallets and sets of Spiritual Stones, which act as additional treasures for those ready to embark on a journey back to Kokiri Forest.
The incentive structure varies globally; while some markets offer generous bonuses for pre-ordering the game itself, others focus on exclusive foil cases. This variation highlights the diverse ways the gaming community is engaging with this beloved franchise, turning pre-orders into a multifaceted event.
Meanwhile, other major titles are also vying for attention. The pre-order period is currently seeing momentum for other hotly anticipated releases, such as God of War Laufey and the collector’s edition of Metro 2039, further demonstrating the vibrant state of the current gaming landscape.
