Capcom is dialing up the drama and delivering it straight to the public, celebrating three decades of a legendary horror franchise by commissioning an iconic centerpiece: a life-sized statue of Leon S. Kennedy. The celebrated poster boy from the Resident Evil series is set to join a gallery of other beloved characters, signaling that the world of horror is truly ready for some high-profile, real-world recognition.

This commemorative tribute forms part of Capcom’s Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Exhibition, an event scheduled to run from October 30 to December 24, 2026 at the Shibuya BEAM Gallery. Fans are already buzzing with anticipation, eager for a tangible encounter with the characters they have spent years adventuring alongside.

Leon will stand alongside other major figures in the franchise, including Ryu from Street Fighter and the adorable Palico from Monster Hunter Wilds, among others displayed throughout Capcom’s corporate offices and physical stores.

The exhibition is thoughtfully segmented to enhance the immersive experience. One section, titled Evidence of Horror, will feature life-sized models of villains crafted with meticulous detail, showcasing the terrifying iconography of the series. Another area, Memories of Those Who Stood Against Them, is dedicated to celebrating the franchise’s heroes and protagonists—this is where Leon’s statue will be prominently displayed, tracing his journey from his first appearance to his most recent interactions in the games.

To further enhance the sense of immersion, attendees can also engage with The World of Resident Evil Theater, which features large screens showing scenes from the series to heighten the excitement and transport visitors into the narrative world.

With the staggering success of Requiem and immense interest surrounding the Code Veronica Remake, the franchise is reaching an unprecedented level of cultural significance.
