While some viewers might find the new aesthetic jarring, the developers aimed to make these returning characters more accessible. Hamaguchi noted that the team listened to player feedback and worked to improve the experience, hoping that the Moogles would win over more players.
Beyond the cuteness factor, the narrative focus of the game is shifting. While Cloud remains the central figure, the developers are actively broadening the spotlight to allow players to explore the rich tapestry of other characters. This emphasis on diverse personalities promises to add new depth to the already legendary story.
Adding another layer of intrigue to the plot, a character known for being socially inept, Chadley, is set to play a very integral role in the upcoming game. As the story unfolds, we can expect this character to weave a significant thread into the grand adventure alongside the familiar figures of the series.
