Diablo 4 update fixes Season 15 questline completion
Sometimes, the greatest treasures in a game aren’t the loot you earn, but the smooth experience of the journey. In the world of Diablo 4, players recently navigated a few frustrating snags within the Season 15 update, but the developers have delivered a patch that finally smooths out the rough edges.
One of the main complications arose from a tricky interaction between quest progression and new seasonal rewards. A bug was discovered that prevented players from completing the main questline. This issue was tied to the introduction of the Splinter of Prime Evil, which players were meant to earn as rewards. The unintended glitch caused players to be locked out of their progress because the powerful Prime Evil abilities were meant to be integrated into the reward structure.
Fortunately, Blizzard has addressed this hiccup. While the glitch has been rectified, players who had already acquired the Splinter of Prime Evil still needed a workaround to ensure their progress wasn’t lost. The solution involves a clever method: creating a new character in the same partition (such as Normal/Hardcore or Normal/SSF) and completing the seasonal questline. This process successfully unlocks the Prime Evil Powers for all characters within that partition, ensuring that quest progress remains intact.
Not just the main questline, other technical snags also made their way into the patch notes. Another bug, where players couldn’t reroll four affixes using the Horadric Cube, has also been resolved. While the wasted resources cannot be returned, at least the system is now functioning as intended.
Despite these fixes, there remains a point of contention among the community regarding other mechanics. Players have been requesting for several weeks that the splinter system allow for stacking. The current limitation, where splinters do not stack, has been widely criticized as a poor design choice for the season.
The community is now keenly watching to see if Blizzard plans to address this request for stacking mechanics in future updates. For now, however, players can definitely focus on completing their current questline without the added hassle of debugging these technical details. The core adventure remains, and the journey can continue with a bit more ease.
