Dispatch celebrates 1 year with 16 hours of new content and live music
Dispatch Turns One: A Year of Chaos, Commentary, and Cosmic Concerts
A year ago, the world of video games was treated to the wild, chaotic journey of Robert in the hit title Dispatch. Now, as the game celebrates its first anniversary, the creators at AdHoc Studio are rolling out a tidal wave of new content, transforming the digital world of Dispatch into a richer, more interactive experience for fans.
Released in October 2025, Dispatch quickly became a critical darling, earning glowing reviews that praised its sharp-witted workplace comedy, smart dialogue choices, and lovably aggravating cast. Developed by Telltale alumni, the game expertly navigated players through a story of epic proportions, proving that even the weirdest concepts can deliver brilliant storytelling.
To mark this milestone, AdHoc Studio has equipped players with tools that let them peel back the curtain on the creation process. The Deluxe Edition now features two groundbreaking modes: Commentary Mode and Storyboard Mode. Commentary Mode invites players into the huddle, providing two separate audio tracks where developers and actors discuss the project as the action unfolds. This mode offers unique insights into the development of Dispatch, while Storyboard Mode reveals the original sketches and blueprints that laid the groundwork for the game’s scenes—even offering the tantalizing option to pair it with the Commentary Mode for a truly deep dive.
Beyond these interactive features, the Deluxe Edition also includes a digital art book and four digital comics, offering fans a wealth of visual material. Those already owning the Deluxe Edition receive these modes for free, and standard owners can upgrade for $10.99 USD.
The universe of Dispatch is expanding far beyond PC and console. AdHoc Studio is bringing the adventure to mobile, with the game set to release on Android and iOS on December 9, 2026. The mobile version has been rebuilt for touch screens and vertical play, and mobile players can jump into Robert’s adventures wherever they are, even getting the first four episodes for free. The full mobile release will be available for $19.99.
For collectors and devoted fans, the merchandise line is bursting with creative chaos. Fans can now acquire a three-record soundtrack vinyl set featuring artwork from art director Derek Stratton, with 100 copies signed by him. Physical merchandise, including shirts, hoodies, and four physical comics boasting epic battle scenes, are available for purchase. Furthermore, a hardcover book and collectible box detailing the design works, cast interviews, and developer insights are up for sale. For the ultimate collectors, the first 1,000 orders placed on the official online store will receive a never-before-seen limited edition, numbered collector’s card.
Perhaps the most electrifying celebration is the live performance. Fans will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the music of Dispatch live at the AVALON Hollywood on Thursday, December 3. The event will feature performances by ‘Hoes Depressed’ singer and the voice of Prism, THOT SQUAD, alongside artists like Bershy, Primer, Caroline Kingsbury, and Fartbarf. Tickets for this exclusive in-person show are extremely limited, with AdHoc Studio email subscribers receiving priority access before the general public.
“Dispatch was only possible because of folks who believed in it enough to show up and do their best work,” stated Nick Herman, Co-Creative Director on Dispatch and COO of AdHoc Studio. “We wanted to give the fans more ways to experience the world they love, whether that’s playing alongside the cast and crew, experiencing the entire game in its original storyboards, or hanging out together IRL at the wildest version of a Dispatch concert our finance team would sign off on.”
If you haven’t yet experienced this bizarre and brilliant journey, now is the time. Dispatch remains a stellar piece of interactive storytelling, and the expanded ways to engage with it ensure that the chaos and charm continue to delight fans long after the credits roll.
