Dragon Pearl of Destruction Release Date Confirmed
Get ready to unleash your inner hero, because a brand new adventure is coming for fans of classic fantasy: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction is set to arrive on February 4, 2027.
This isn’t just another game; it’s a deep dive into the vibrant world of Eternia, reimagined with pixel-art charm and classic 2D gameplay. Developed by Bitmap Bureau, in collaboration with Mattel and the retro experts at Clear River Games, this title promises to deliver all the action your favorite cartoon fans have been waiting for, launching across major platforms including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.
The core experience puts players in the boots of iconic heroes like He-Man, She-Ra, Man-At-Arms, and Teela, inviting them into a high-octane adventure. Whether you prefer tackling the challenge solo or teaming up for a two-player local co-op session, the fun is guaranteed. Players will navigate thirteen dynamic stages, from the majestic Royal Palace to the treacherous Vine Jungle and the forbidding Snake Mountain, all while battling some truly fearsome villains.
Prepare for epic showdowns against familiar foes, including Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, and Trap Jaw, along with encounters with the mysterious dark sorceress Shokoti and the menacing Shadow Beasts. It’s a full-throttle journey through Eternia’s most legendary landscapes.
For those who want to relive the nostalgia and commemorate the epic saga, two physical editions will be available through Limited Run Games. The standard version, which features beautiful cover art by Freddie Williams II, will be available for $29.99 USD. For the ultimate collector, the Collector’s Edition will retail for $99.99 USD and includes premium extras designed for true fans.
The Collector’s Edition is packed with treasures, including lunchbox-style packaging that transports you straight back to the 1980s, metal pin badges featuring in-game sprites, a replica of the He-Man Power Sword, and an acrylic standee of He-Man riding Battle Cat. It also features a mini 12-page comic book created by Dark Horse Comics, making it the perfect item for any He-Man enthusiast to display their devotion.
Following an exciting preview in August, this title has generated huge anticipation, sparking the hope that it could be the first truly exceptional He-Man game yet. It arrives at a perfect time, building on the legacy of the Masters of the Universe series and promising a high-quality, nostalgic experience for generations to come.
