Explore the Growing Fallout Museum and Choose Nuka Twist
The irradiated wasteland is celebrating! As the world marks Fallout Day, Bethesda is unleashing a wave of excitement, bringing the epic world of post-apocalyptic gaming into the real world through exciting new partnerships and deep dives into upcoming titles.
One of the biggest celebrations is the expansion of the World of Fallout exhibit at the National Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas. This immersive display, already packed with props, costumes, and memorabilia from the games and the Amazon TV show, is doubling its footprint. New galleries are being introduced, featuring interactive installations, museum artifacts, and interpretive displays that promise an even deeper journey into the lore.
Beyond the museum, the Fallout spirit is brewing globally. The Fallout Cafe is making a nostalgic return to Tower Records in Tokyo for a second year, offering themed food and exclusive merchandise to fans across the globe. This cross-cultural pop-up proves that the allure of the wasteland transcends borders.
For those celebrating back home, the festivities continue with local events. The third annual Fallout Night, featuring the Texas Stars, is scheduled for October 24th, offering attendees a chance to snag a collectible Fallout bobblehead. Fans can look forward to more community events and celebrations as the holiday approaches.
But the collaboration doesn’t stop there. Bethesda is teaming up with Jones Soda for a unique venture: Project T.W.I.S.T. (Taste-worthiness Initiative for Shelter Transition). This initiative invites fans to help determine the flavor of the highly anticipated Nuka Twist. Since the flavor has yet to be established in the game content, voting takes place on the Jones Soda website from October 21 to October 31.
Nuka-Twist itself is a handy addition to the Fallout 76 experience. As a Nuka-Cola variant consumable, drinking it grants a ten-minute, 2 buff to one of your seven S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats. While it offers a boost, players should be mindful of the potential for those coveted +5 rads.
Meanwhile, the game world itself continues to evolve rapidly. Already this week, Bethesda has unveiled three eye-catching mods for Fallout 4, one of which launched yesterday. Looking ahead, the development focus remains strong, with plans for major releases including Fallout 5, remasters of classics like Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and further updates to Fallout 76 and Fallout Shelter. Additionally, Season 3 of the Fallout TV series is already on the horizon.
As the franchise approaches its 30th anniversary next year, the anticipation is high for major announcements. Microsoft is clearly doubling down on the Fallout universe, with new Xbox leadership, including boss Asha Sharma, driving efforts to maximize profitability while continuing to expand the scope of this iconic world.
