Genshin Impact’s new 5-star Vesna is stunning
After six years immersed in the world of Genshin Impact, settling into a comfortable routine, new 5-star characters still manage to ignite a fire. And right now, the buzz is centered on Vesna, a character that has quickly become a highlight for those who appreciate both power and pure, unadulterated movement.
Released in the latest update, Vesna joins the roster with her counterpart, Vodyanitsa, offering a fresh dynamic. As a fae warrior, she is designed to be an on-field damage dealer, specializing in the newly introduced Stellar Swirl reaction, especially potent within the Snezhnaya region.
Her combat style introduces a unique rhythm. Vesna rewards players who engage in a specific sequence: activating her skill to enter a special stance, building up a resource through normal attacks, and then unleashing powerful elemental skills, often weaving in bursts to maximize damage.
This playstyle echoes the satisfaction derived from characters like Zibai, a Lunar Crystallize DPS, appealing directly to players who seek high-impact, rhythmic combat. Furthermore, many reputable theorycrafters have hailed Vesna as one of the strongest DPS options in the game, depending on the team composition.
But what truly sets Vesna apart is her revolutionary movement utility. She is the first character in Genshin Impact capable of flying with incredible speed and freedom across the open world.
When holding a dash or jump, Vesna unfurls her wings, allowing her to cover surprising distances and ascend swiftly before stamina runs out. This newfound mobility fundamentally changes how players interact with the environment.
The mechanics extend even further in Snezhnaya, where swapping into Vesna mid-air allows for an instant flight and a necessary regeneration of stamina. This fluidity transforms basic traversal into an acrobatic art form.
This emphasis on flight makes exploration an entirely new pillar of the Genshin experience. Characters like Vesna ensure that roaming the world is no longer a chore but an exhilarating journey. The ability to fly freely makes exploration significantly breezier than it has ever been.
For those who prioritize discovery, Vesna is a non-negotiable addition to the exploration party. Her presence makes the act of roaming feel truly transformative, offering a level of freedom and engagement that stands head and shoulders above many other exploration standouts.
