Scheduled for November 11, this year’s celebration promises a fresh perspective on the industry’s most celebrated titles, introducing a brand new look to the long-running, publicly voted game awards.
The excitement doesn’t stop at the ceremony; the road to recognizing the best games is paved with public participation. Fans will have the opportunity to shape the narrative by voting. The critically curated shortlist for this year’s awards will be unveiled on September 25, marking the official start of the voting process for the initial twenty-one categories, including Best Storytelling, Console Game of the Year, and Best Lead Performer.
The voting timeline is structured to build momentum. Public voting for the initial categories will close on October 23, followed by the highly anticipated vote for Ultimate Game of the Year, which will run from October 26 to October 30. This structured approach ensures that games launching in the coming month, along with recent blockbusters, receive ample consideration.
As we look ahead to the awards, the spotlight is firmly fixed on games that have recently captivated audiences. With massive titles like GTA 6 set to launch shortly, the focus shifts to recent releases that have been making waves. Blockbusters such as Resident Evil: Requiem and The Blood of Dawnwalker are poised to compete for top honors alongside acclaimed independent gems like Mina the Hollower and Big Walk.
