Halo Special Edition Xbox Ornament Now Available
Christmas is the season for nostalgia, and for fans of gaming, the holiday season also brings a unique opportunity for collectors. This year, Hallmark has once again stepped up its game, releasing hundreds of new ornaments that celebrate pop culture, and some of these releases are pure geek gold. But this year’s collection really shines when you look at the deep dive into video game history.
One particular highlight that has caught the attention of gamers is the Amazon-exclusive release of the Xbox Halo Special Edition Console Hallmark Keepsake Ornament. This isn’t just a decoration; it’s a miniature tribute to a specific piece of gaming history.
The ornament perfectly captures the essence of the original 2004 Xbox Halo Special Edition console, featuring a chunky, rectangular design molded in translucent green plastic. It’s a perfect little piece of nostalgia, complete with a miniature original Xbox controller nestled beside it. But the magic doesn’t end there, as this keepsake is also a fully interactive experience.
This ornament is a true “Magic Light and Sound” feature. When you press the tiny power button on the keepsake, it illuminates and plays the iconic console startup sounds and music from Halo Theme Mjolnir Mix from Halo 2. To bring this feature to life, the ornament requires three Alkaline LR44 button batteries.
Measuring just 3.5 x 1.25 x 3.5 inches, the ornament is perfectly sized for display, offering a wonderful blend of collectible art and interactive fun. It’s a delightful way to bring legendary gaming moments into your holiday décor.
For those who are looking for a standard console remembrance, Hallmark also offers a classic Xbox Hallmark Keepsake Ornament, which debuted in 2024 and offers a perfectly tiny representation of the original Microsoft game console.
The wave of gaming-themed ornaments continues, with other releases this year including ornaments based on Halo Warthog, Pokémon, and Zelda. Fans of classic titles can also find excellent options, such as a PS1 ornament, perfect for complementing a retro LEGO set.
The excitement doesn’t stop with the ornaments. Meanwhile, Microsoft is gearing up for another major release, preparing to launch a translucent green version of the Xbox Series X. Though this special anniversary edition is highly sought after, only 25,000 units are being produced, ensuring that those who want to secure one are ready for the launch date.
