Halo Xbox: Amazon’s best holiday ornament in 2026
When the holiday season rolls around, the quest for the perfect ornament often leads us down paths of tradition and sentiment. But this year, the decorations are taking a decidedly retro turn, blending classic holiday cheer with the irresistible glow of gaming history.
Amidst the usual festive clutter, one particular item has emerged as a massive hit: the retro gaming console ornament. This year, Hallmark has joined the nostalgia train by releasing an eye-catching decoration of the original Xbox console, which has quickly become a must-have for collectors and decorators alike.
The centerpiece of this trend is the translucent green Xbox console. Measuring 3.5 x 3.5 inches, this little beacon isn’t just a piece of décor; it’s a glowing tribute to gaming’s golden age. It has successfully stormed to the top of Amazon’s best-seller list for hanging ornaments, even outpacing many traditional Halloween supplies in its popularity.
What truly sets this ornament apart is the interactive experience it offers. Pressing the power button lights up the translucent plastic, and the little console plays the iconic startup sound, complete with the familiar Halo Theme Mjolnir Mix. It’s a perfect little piece of portable nostalgia that brings a touch of gaming history right onto your Christmas tree.
While there is a standard version of the console ornament, the special edition features a unique flourish, often including a small Halo stamp, differentiating it for dedicated fans. This small detail elevates the piece from a simple decoration to a collector’s item.
Hallmark’s Keepsake collection is clearly a treasure trove for retro gaming enthusiasts. Beyond the Xbox, collectors can find ornaments dedicated to other legendary consoles, including PlayStation, Dreamcast, and Sega, as well as classics like the Oregon Trail. This wide range ensures that there is a perfect piece for every gamer on the family tree.
Whether you are looking for the glowing green legend or another piece of gaming history to adorn your home, the Hallmark Keepsake line provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate beloved memories. It proves that the joy of gaming and the magic of the holidays can be perfectly merged into one unforgettable decoration.
