Hori’s Cyberpunk 2077 Switch 2 accessories just dropped
Night City on the Go: Hori Brings Cyberpunk 2077 Style to the Nintendo Switch 2
The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 as a title for the Nintendo Switch 2 has set a high bar for immersion, and now accessory maker Hori is delivering the goods by bringing the gritty, neon-drenched aesthetic directly to the gaming console. Hori recently unveiled a collection of official-looking accessories—a controller and a case—that look like they were pulled straight from the sprawling, dystopian streets of Night City.
These new items, including the Horipad Turbo controller and the Adventure Pack case, have landed at major retailers like Best Buy, inviting gamers to personalize their setup with a dose of futuristic flair. The result is a striking visual blend of high-end gaming hardware and iconic science-fiction design.
The pieces themselves are a celebration of the Cyberpunk world. The Adventure Pack case, for instance, sports a Samurai design emblazoned with the unmistakable image of Johnny Silverhand, instantly transporting any user to the heart of Night City. Complementing this is the controller, featuring a transparent yellow chassis that perfectly captures that retro-futuristic, neon glow reminiscent of the game’s world.
While the aesthetic is undeniably potent, it is worth noting the subtle balance between style and substance. Some observers noted that while the visual appeal is phenomenal, the focus on licensed design sometimes means the actual hardware features are secondary.
The controller, in particular, is equipped with features like TMR thumbsticks, programmable back buttons, and a GameChat button. However, features like HD rumble 2 and advanced vibration feedback, often found in more premium alternatives, appear to be missing. Furthermore, the wireless battery life offers up to ten hours of playback, which isn’t the gold standard for modern gaming controllers.
Despite these technical trade-offs, the commitment to the theme remains a powerful draw. For many, the appeal lies less in raw performance metrics and more in the immersive experience of owning hardware that truly reflects their favorite fictional worlds.
Of course, the accessibility of these new items is currently limited. Retailers have restricted availability to the United States and Canada, meaning gamers in other regions may have to wait for the line to officially expand. Nevertheless, Hori’s track record suggests that these themed accessories are likely to appear in more places soon.
For those ready to inject some digital neon into their setup, these accessories offer a chance to bridge the gap between cutting-edge gaming and unforgettable style. They prove that sometimes, the most striking features are the ones that turn heads, regardless of the technical specifications.
