Kirby Air Riders Save 27% for Nintendo Switch 2
The Switch 2 gaming landscape is heating up, and right now, the bargain hunters are celebrating a major score. Amazon has dropped the price on Kirby Air Riders, slashing the cost from $69.99 to $50.99, complete with free shipping. For gamers ready to dive into the Switch 2 experience, this represents a remarkable 26% saving—the lowest price seen for a new, physical retail copy since Prime Day back in June.
This deal isn’t just about a discount; it’s an invitation to explore a racer that manages to blend chaotic racing fun with deep, character-driven combat. While many look to classic titles like Mario Kart World for inspiration, Kirby Air Riders offers something distinctly different.
At its core, the game is a kart racer featuring beloved characters like Kirby, Waddle Dee, King Dedede, and Meta Knight. However, the gameplay philosophy diverges significantly. Instead of pure racing mechanics, Kirby Air Riders leans heavily into a battle-oriented experience. This approach brings unexpected similarities to games like Super Smash Bros, with every character sporting their own unique super move, turning the track into a dynamic arena for action.
Critics note that this evolution represents a significant leap forward from previous titles. The game builds upon the original Air Ride, enhancing the core modes while introducing exciting new experiences. The standard racing mode still features the familiar nine tracks, but the gameplay is layered with more depth.
The expansion of modes transforms the experience entirely. The default Air Ride racing mode is enhanced with nine new tracks, but the real innovation lies in the added features. The new City Trial mode turns racing into a battle royale, where players explore a massive city to collect power-ups and customize their vehicles across 150 distinct challenges, accommodating sixteen players. Furthermore, the bird’s-eye Top Ride mode has been refined into a more thought-out experience, and a brand-new single-player campaign, Road Trip, provides a fleshed-out story for added replayability.
For those looking to maximize their Switch 2 experience, optimizing storage is just as crucial as enjoying the game itself. If you need extra space, there are excellent deals on high-speed memory cards available at major retailers. The Onn 512GB MicroSD Express Memory Card is available for $84.77 at Walmart, while the smaller 256GB model is available for $46.77, both including free shipping.
These MicroSD Express cards are essential for the Switch 2 console, as it requires this specific technology. Unlike standard MicroSD cards from previous consoles, the Express cards offer dramatically faster speeds, boasting read and write speeds of up to 600MB/s and 800MB/s, respectively. Getting the right hardware ensures you can fully enjoy all the speed and scope that the new generation of gaming promises.
