Lego PlayStation and free Astro Bot figure available for Insiders
The wait for the official Lego PlayStation release may still be looming, but for the dedicated collector, the opportunity to dive into the digital world of gaming has arrived early. Lego has opened the doors for Insiders to secure early access and order the highly anticipated PlayStation replica, complete with its original controller, starting today.
For those savvy enough to join the Lego Insiders program, ordering the set is free of charge. But the real excitement comes with a fantastic bonus: this build qualifies for a free gift with purchase, adding an extra layer of collectible joy to the experience. The stars of this bonus bundle are the incredibly popular Astro Bot statue, a fully posable and swappable robo-buddy, which has a $19.99 value.
This pairing of a retro builder’s dream and one of the industry’s most adorable mascots creates a truly solid bundle. It’s a perfect collision of classic gaming aesthetics and modern cuteness.
The Lego PlayStation set itself is a massive undertaking, featuring 1,911 pieces. Fans can expect deep immersion, as the set includes game-specific dioramas designed to fit neatly within the disc tray, and even features a cleverly hidden internal PlayStation logo built from flat tiles inside the tray—a detail that promises a deeply satisfying reveal for any builder.
Beyond the console itself, the design includes interactive features. Inside the console, dedicated spaces are included to slot in scenes from games like Gran Turismo and Ape Escape, plus the original controller, which can connect and disconnect from slots on the front. It’s a piece of Lego engineering designed to feel just like a console.
While the PlayStation set is the current focus, the early access window also offered other massive Lego achievements. TV enthusiasts could opt for the elegant Downton Abbey set, and hardcore sci-fi fans can snag the colossal 6,130-piece Star Wars Executor Super Star Destroyer. Both sets are available for early access, allowing buyers to explore these epic builds before the official launch.
Whether you are chasing gaming nostalgia or massive starships, the Lego world is delivering incredible opportunities. Be sure to place your order before October 7 to guarantee you receive the free Astro Bot statue along with your new console, ensuring you have all the components for a truly epic collection.
