Mario & Yoshi LEGO World drops to lowest price for Prime Day
For dedicated Nintendo fans and LEGO enthusiasts, a golden opportunity has landed. Amazon is offering an incredible deal on the LEGO Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi (71438), making this highly sought-after set accessible at an outstanding price.
During Prime Day, shoppers can snag this amazing set for just $89.99 with free shipping, thanks to a 30% instant discount. This is touted as one of the best LEGO x Nintendo collaborations, and the deal makes it an irresistible target for collectors.
But the excitement doesn’t stop at the price tag. This particular set is rumored to be nearing retirement, as it is currently sold out at the LEGO Shop with no estimated restock date.
The resulting deal offers a chance to acquire a piece of Nintendo nostalgia without breaking the bank. What you are getting is more than just bricks; it is a charming, interactive experience waiting to be built.
The set itself is impressively sized, standing nearly 16 inches tall and measuring 5 inches wide, featuring a substantial 1,215 brick count. It lends itself perfectly to display, offering a visually stunning, mostly two-dimensional build that looks fantastic displayed on a shelf.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the design incorporates delightful interactive elements. Builders will enjoy features like a crank handle that simulates Yoshi running with Mario on his back, and a dial that allows Yoshi’s tongue to pop in and out, adding a wonderful layer of play to the structure.
While the final result is visually rewarding, achieving this structure requires a degree of technical skill. The build involves utilizing smaller bricks alongside specialized technical pieces such as rubber bands, hinges, and ball joints. Therefore, LEGO recommends that builders be at least 18 years old.
Despite the challenge of the construction, the satisfaction of completing the project is immense. When builders take on the task, the end result is truly worth the effort. One builder noted that piecing together the set provided a strong dose of nostalgia, making it their favorite Nintendo LEGO set to date.
