The world of mountain biking just got a whole lot more competitive. MAVRIX has officially launched its 1.0 update, bringing an electrifying new head-to-head multiplayer mode to Xbox Series X|S, ready for riders to tackle the tracks and trails like never before.

Spanning a massive 100 square kilometres, the open world of MAVRIX is a playground defined by authenticity. It boasts over 30 official trails, blending high-speed racetracks with gravity-defying slopestyle routes, all meticulously designed around real-world mountain bike disciplines.

While players could once compete on global leaderboards individually during early access, the new iteration throws open the gates for direct competition. Now, up to five riders can matchmake to any trail, inviting friends and rivals to pit their skills against one another in intense battles.

The gameplay offers two distinct, thrilling modes. For racing, players strive for the fastest time down the track—a race where bar-to-bar action is guaranteed as players experience the sprint firsthand. For slopestyle, the challenge shifts to staging massive tricks across defined sectors, where the player who masters the most obstacles is crowned champion.

Adding a layer of live drama are the spectacular visuals and commentary provided by legendary Red Bull commentator Rob Warner. As overtakes occur and crashes add unpredictability, the live updates transform races into unforgettable events.

Choosing the right machine is crucial to success. Players must decide between downhill bikes, built for stability and absorbing massive impacts at high speeds, and enduro bikes, engineered for superior acceleration and hopping over larger obstacles. The skill in selecting the correct bike for a specific trail is just as important as the skill on the terrain.

Beyond the intense competition, new features have been introduced to keep the action rolling. The introduction of MAVRIX Cups brings weekly standalone events for both racing and slopestyle. These competitions offer exclusive cosmetic prizes, providing a unique incentive for players to dominate the leaderboard.
