Bringing the Ninja World to America: NARUTO Mythos TCG Launches at Comic-Con

The world of ninja lore is set to get a major upgrade, as the popular NARUTO Mythos Trading Card Game arrives in the United States, offering fans their first chance to dive into the action live at San Diego Comic-Con. This exciting expansion marks a significant step for the game, bringing a beloved franchise into the competitive hobby space and setting the stage for a massive North American rollout.

The game is exclusively distributed in the U.S. by Zvezdar, a distributor that is rapidly expanding its reach into the American market. Fans attending Comic-Con will have ample opportunity to interact directly with the game, participating in hands-on demos where they can test strategies and face off against other players. Beyond the interactive play, attendees can snag special promotional cards and secure the first opportunity to purchase booster boxes before the official North American launch.

The main Comic-Con booth, set up in the Marriott hotel, will be an epicenter of activity. Here, visitors can familiarize themselves with the game’s mechanics—which center on assigning character cards to missions and activating unique effects—and master the art of stealth and strategy. The core gameplay revolves around hiding characters by playing them face down before using them to ambush opponents or spending chakra to upgrade them into powerful Jutsu.

For those who want a deeper understanding of the rules, players are encouraged to read up on the game beforehand, but learning by doing is definitely the best approach. Participants at the demo booth will also receive a grab bag filled with unique promotional cards, including a special Summoning Jutsu variant, while supplies last.

The collectible aspect of NARUTO Mythos is rich and layered. The cards feature a diverse rarity system that rewards dedication: Normal collection cards span five tiers—Common, Uncommon, Rare, Secret Rare, and Legendary. Common and Uncommon cards form the foundation, available in Normal, Full Art (which features see-through text boxes for enhanced artwork visibility), and Holographic variants with vibrant colors and crisper lighting.

Rare cards introduce puzzle art, consisting of nine pieces that create a continuous illustration when placed side-by-side, alongside Rare Art cards boasting unique backgrounds and holographic effects. The pinnacle of the collection is reserved for Legendary cards, which are uniquely numbered and crafted with 22-karat gold foil, making them truly irreplaceable finds. Secret Rare cards feature a distinctive gold finish and an abstract triangle holographic effect, while Secret Variants introduce unique colorways to this coveted rarity.

Beyond the initial launch excitement, NARUTO Mythos has a robust roadmap for growth. A veteran-led, professional competitive program is currently under development for North America. Furthermore, the game is set to expand globally, with a full rollout planned for Central and South America in November. Upcoming expansions include Set 2, focusing on the Shinobi Shiren era, and Set 3, which will bring the exciting world of Naruto Shippuden and the Akatsuki faction to the table.

The game’s successful European expansion is built on a foundation of quality, having been designed and published by the Italian company Cicaboom. Tilen Grah, CEO of Zvezdar Toys US, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re incredibly proud to bring the NARUTO Mythos TCG to the United States,” emphasizing their commitment to building a strong community in North America.

The journey for NARUTO Mythos is just beginning, promising years of strategic play and collectible adventure for fans across the continent. For those looking to follow the action and connect with the community, updates are available on social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
