“As a studio, we needed to refresh the palette. It was, by choice, the opposite of Killzone,” Postma noted. He added that the themes within the Horizon world—such as finding a found family and determining one’s place in the world—are themes that resonate across all ages, offering a wider appeal than the darker, more violent tones of the previous decade.
