Palworld Update 1.0.4 Brings Quality-of-Life Boosts and New Adventures
Pocketpair has rolled out the latest patch for Palworld, update 1.0.4, and it’s packed with quality-of-life improvements that aim to make the world of Pals a bit smoother and more engaging for players. This update doesn’t just bring fresh content; it fine-tunes the mechanics, addressing some long-standing player requests while introducing new ways to interact with the world.
Among the highlights are two brand-new missions, including a questline originating from the Fisherman’s Point area, offering players new objectives to pursue in the game world.
Beyond the new content, the developers have made significant tweaks to how Pals operate in the game. In combat and mission completion, the AI has been adjusted so that Pals and base Pals now prioritize moves that deal the most damage. This subtle change means less micro-management is required in skirmishes, letting players focus on the action at hand.
One of the most appreciated fixes targets the often-frustrating issue of game delays. The update ensures that mission-critical Pals and NPCs will no longer fall asleep, guaranteeing that player progress isn’t halted by a nap.
The fishing experience has also received a noticeable overhaul. The baseline difficulty for casting lines in waters around the World Tree and in Sunreach has been adjusted, along with altered rewards based on the type of bait used. Furthermore, a new sliding scale now governs fish behavior during minigames, ensuring that the experience is fairer and less punishing for players.
Finally, Pocketpair introduced a helpful change to the production facilities. If a player cancels an order at a production facility, all returned materials will automatically be sent back to the inventory. The only exception is if the player has set a weight limit, in which case excess materials will remain at their feet.
These improvements demonstrate Pocketpair’s ongoing commitment to refining the game experience, ensuring that as players explore the world of Palworld, the journey remains rewarding and enjoyable.
