Physical Disc Fans must wait for Control Resonant on PS5

The wait is officially getting longer for fans of the action-packed world of Control. While the digital world remains ready for immediate access, those craving a physical copy of Control Resonant on a PlayStation 5 disc will have to settle in for a little extra time.

Game enthusiasts who have been eager to own the physical edition of the title have been informed that the boxed release has been pushed back. Instead of hitting the shelves immediately following the main launch, physical copies are now slated for release in mid-October 2026.

This scheduling shift means players will have to wait a couple of weeks after the game’s main launch before they can secure their physical disc.

On a more positive note, the development side of things is moving ahead swiftly. Remedy has recently revealed that the follow-up installment has successfully gone gold, signaling that the work on the 1.0 version of the game is now complete.

While the physical release faces this slight delay, the digital experience remains immediately available. Players can still jump into the action on the PS Store, with the digital version locked in for release on September 24th.
