Pokemon Unite Shut Down Sales Suspended in 2027
The era of Pokémon Unite is drawing to a close. After a season filled with competitive action and community engagement, the MOBA battler will officially conclude service on March 23, 2027, marking the end of an exciting chapter for players across Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
This final curtain call follows the high-stakes conclusion of the Pokémon World Championships 2027, culminating in the thrilling Aeos Crown 2027 competition held in Tokyo just two days prior.
As the game winds down, the Pokémon Company has taken steps to finalize its operations. All sales of Aeos Gems have been halted immediately, and access to new Unite Club memberships and automatic renewals has also been suspended. This decision ensures that the competitive season concludes cleanly.
The company extended a note of sincere gratitude to the vast community of Trainers who have supported the game since its launch on July 21, 2021. They encourage players to continue enjoying the game until its final day of service.
While online matches will cease once the service ends, the experience for players does not end there. Fans will still be able to look back at their achievements and stats, and even participate in practice rounds. To access this history and content, players must complete a library data download.
To ensure players can review their records and in-game content after the shutdown, a specific library feature must be downloaded before the service ends. Those who complete the required download before the deadline of Tuesday, March 23, 2027, at 00:00 UTC will be able to utilize the feature. Players who do not complete this download before the final date will unfortunately be unable to access the historical records afterward.
Pokémon Unite debuted on the Nintendo Switch on July 21, 2021, and later launched on Android and iOS mobile devices on September 22, 2021. It proved to be a vibrant experience, even for those who initially found some critique regarding its design and microtransactions.
