Pokopia’s Spooky Halloween: New Items and Habitats Revealed
Get ready to embrace the spooky season, because Pokopia is about to dive into the shadows with its first Halloween celebration: Pumpkaboo’s Sweet Surprises. This limited-time event is set to bring players a thrilling blend of new Pokémon, eerie decorations, and a whole lot of candy.
The festivities will run from October 17th until November 1st, giving players a focused window to collect spooky treasures. Just be sure to set your system clock back—this is a time-traveling celebration!
The centerpiece of the celebration, of course, is the notoriously cute and spooky Pumpkaboo. Starting on October 17th, players will be able to interact with Pumpkaboo outside of the finished Town Centers to begin the adventure. This little ghost will be eager to trade some of his spooky items for essential pumpkin candy.
What awaits players are plenty of new items designed to enhance their Pokopia world, including Jack-O-Lanterns, spooky trees, and glowing ghost decorations. While the exact list of items is still being revealed, promotional images already hint at a delightfully eerie aesthetic.
To unlock these coveted items and the precious candy, players will need to explore and interact with the Bleak Beach area. A key to unlocking these seasonal rewards lies in mastering a specific ability: Camouflage, which players must have learned from Zorua.
During the event, Camouflage becomes a powerful tool for mischief. Players can use this ability to play tricks on their Pokémon, transforming them into their favorite items before revealing their true Ditto forms. It seems your Pokémon will be rewarded for making them laugh—or perhaps, for scaring them into revealing their true, gooey selves!
Beyond collecting decorations, players will also have the chance to build new habitats. This year, the goal is to construct a home for Pumpkaboo’s evolution, Gourgeist. Once the event concludes, both Pokémon will remain, allowing players to permanently add some spookier Ghost-types to their Pokopia areas.
