Nacon Asymmetric Wireless Controller Review: Xbox-Style Sticks on PS4
6.5/10 — Nacon Asymmetric Wireless Controller
Works with: PS4, PC
Pros
- Asymmetric, Xbox-style stick layout
- Officially licensed wireless pad
- Cheaper than the DualShock 4
Cons
- Feels less premium than first-party pads
- Fewer features than the DualShock 4
Not everyone gets on with the DualShock 4’s symmetrical sticks. Nacon’s Asymmetric Wireless Controller offers an officially licensed PS4 pad with an Xbox-style layout instead.
Design
It places the left stick above the D-pad, as on an Xbox controller, which many players find more comfortable for shooters and action games. It’s officially licensed, wireless and cheaper than Sony’s own pad, though it feels less premium.
Verdict
The Nacon Asymmetric Wireless Controller is a sensible budget choice for PS4 players who prefer an Xbox-style layout. It’s not as refined as the DualShock 4, but it does the job well.
