Nacon Revolution Unlimited Pro Review: The PS4 Pro Pad
7.5/10 — Nacon Revolution Unlimited Pro Controller
Works with: PS4, PC
Pros
- Wired or wireless play
- Adjustable weights
- Four shortcut buttons on the back
- Swappable thumbsticks and detailed PC software
Cons
- Expensive
- Bulky
- Since replaced by the Revolution 5 Pro
The Nacon Revolution Unlimited Pro was one of the most popular premium PS4 controllers, and it’s still regarded as one of Nacon’s best pads.
Design and features
It uses an asymmetric, Xbox-style stick layout and can be played wired or wirelessly. Weights can be added to change its feel, there are four shortcut buttons on the back, and its thumbsticks can be swapped between concave and convex shapes. Nacon’s PC software allows detailed tweaks, from button mapping to stick dead zones and vibration intensity.
Verdict
The Nacon Revolution Unlimited Pro is a comfortable, customisable pro controller for PS4 and PC. It’s been succeeded by the Revolution 5 Pro, but it’s still a good second-hand option for PS4 players.
