PlayStation Move Navigation Controller Review: The Move's Sidekick

6/10 — Sony PlayStation Move Navigation Controller
Works with: PS3
Pros
- Adds a stick and D-pad for one-handed play
- Compact and comfortable
- Can stand in for a DualShock in some games
Cons
- Only useful alongside the Move
- Few games made good use of it
- Not supported by PS VR on PS4
The PlayStation Move Navigation Controller was designed to sit in your other hand while you used the Move. It’s essentially half a DualShock 3.
Design and features
It has an analogue stick, a D-pad, two face buttons, L1 and L2 triggers, and a PS button. In games that support it, you hold it in your left hand to move around while aiming or swinging with the Move. It can also stand in for the left half of a DualShock in some games.
Verdict
The Navigation Controller is a neat, comfortable add-on, but it’s only useful if you’re playing Move games on PS3. It’s a curiosity today.
