7/10 — PowerA Fusion Pro Wireless Controller (Switch)
Works with: Nintendo Switch
Pros
- Programmable rear paddles
- Pro-style features rare on Switch
- Officially licensed
Cons
- Expensive for a third-party Switch pad
- Lacks some first-party features
The PowerA Fusion Pro Wireless Controller is the closest thing the Switch has to an Xbox Elite-style controller, with features aimed at competitive players.
Design and features
Its headline feature is a set of programmable rear paddles, which can be mapped to other buttons. It has a comfortable Pro Controller-style shape and is officially licensed by Nintendo.
Verdict
The PowerA Fusion Pro is a good choice for Switch players who want rear paddles, which are rare on the console. It’s pricey for a third-party pad and lacks some first-party features, but there are few alternatives with its feature set.
