Razer Sabertooth Review: The Onza's Ambitious Successor

7.5/10 — Razer Sabertooth
Works with: Xbox 360, PC
Pros
- Six programmable multi-function buttons
- Built-in OLED screen for profiles
- Detachable cable and carry case
- Sturdy, premium build
Cons
- Wired only
- Expensive at launch
- Hard to find today
Razer’s second attempt at a premium Xbox 360 controller, the Sabertooth, arrived in 2013 and built on the Onza Tournament Edition with even more customisation.
Design and features
It has six programmable multi-function buttons, including two on the shoulders and four removable triggers on the back, plus a small OLED screen for managing profiles and button mappings on the controller itself. The cable is detachable, and it came with a carry case, making it popular with tournament players who travelled with their own pads.
Verdict
The Razer Sabertooth was one of the most feature-rich Xbox 360 controllers ever made. It’s wired only and can be hard to find now, but for 360 players who want pro features, it’s a great retro pick.
