Scuf Impact Review: Paddles for the PS4 Pro Player
7/10 — Scuf Impact
Works with: PS4, PC
Pros
- Four interchangeable rear paddles
- Adjustable hair triggers and trigger stops
- Customisable thumbsticks
- Familiar DualShock 4 feel
Cons
- Very expensive
- Same battery life weaknesses as the DualShock 4
- Replaced by newer Scuf pads
The Scuf Impact was the go-to controller for many competitive PS4 players. Built around the DualShock 4, it added the features pros relied on.
Design and features
It keeps the DualShock 4’s familiar shape but adds four interchangeable rear paddles, adjustable hair triggers and trigger stops, and customisable thumbsticks. There were plenty of add-ons and cosmetic options too.
Verdict
The Scuf Impact is a capable competitive PS4 controller, but it was very expensive and has since been replaced by newer Scuf pads. A good-condition second-hand unit can be a decent buy for PS4 shooter fans.
