Scuf Reflex Pro Review: A DualSense With Paddles
8/10 — Scuf Reflex Pro
Works with: PS5, PC
Pros
- Keeps haptic feedback and adaptive triggers
- Four remappable rear paddles
- Swappable thumbsticks and faceplates
- Grippy, comfortable finish
Cons
- Expensive
- Same battery life as the DualSense
- Standard sticks can drift
Scuf’s Reflex range takes a different approach from most third-party PS5 controllers. It’s built on the DualSense’s internals, so it keeps the features that make the PS5’s controller special.
Design and features
The Reflex Pro keeps the DualSense’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, which most third-party pads can’t offer, and adds four remappable rear paddles, interchangeable thumbsticks and a grippy finish. Faceplates can be customised. The Reflex FPS variant swaps adaptive triggers for instant triggers, for faster shooting.
Verdict
The Scuf Reflex Pro is the best way to get paddles on a PS5 controller without losing haptics and adaptive triggers. It’s expensive, and its sticks aren’t drift-resistant, but for PS5 players who want the full DualSense experience plus paddles, it’s a strong alternative to the DualSense Edge.
