7.5/10 — Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra

Works with: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Android

Pros

  • Hall effect sticks resist drift
  • Built-in display for settings and profiles
  • Charging dock included
  • Rear buttons and trigger stops

Cons

  • Expensive
  • The screen is more of a novelty than a necessity
  • Heavier than most pads

The Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra stands out from the crowd thanks to one unusual feature: a small built-in display in the middle of the controller. It’s also a well-specified premium pad in its own right.

Design and features

The display lets you change settings, switch profiles and adjust options without opening an app, and it can also show phone notifications. It’s handy, though most players will set it up once and forget it’s there. More useful are its Hall effect thumbsticks, which resist drift, along with rear buttons, trigger stops and a charging dock.

Verdict

The Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra is a capable, comfortable premium controller with genuinely drift-resistant sticks. The screen is more novelty than necessity, and the price is high, but it’s a solid alternative to Microsoft’s Elite Series 2.
