Victrix Pro BFG Review: The Most Flexible PS5 Controller

8/10 — Victrix Pro BFG
Works with: PS5, PS4, PC
Pros
- Modular stick and D-pad layout
- Swappable six-button fight pad module
- Four back buttons and trigger stops
- Officially licensed wireless pad
Cons
- No haptics or adaptive triggers
- Expensive
- Battery life is only average
The Victrix Pro BFG is a modular wireless controller for PS5, PS4 and PC, designed with competitive and fighting game players in mind.
Design and features
Its standout feature is modularity. The thumbstick and D-pad modules can be swapped between symmetrical and asymmetrical layouts, and a six-button fight pad module turns it into a dedicated fighting game controller. Four back buttons, trigger stops and swappable stick caps and gates add even more customisation. It’s officially licensed and connects wirelessly via a dongle.
Verdict
The Victrix Pro BFG is one of the most versatile controllers available, especially for fighting game fans. It lacks the DualSense’s haptics and adaptive triggers and it’s pricey, but nothing else offers this much flexibility.
