Suri The Seventh Note launches Oct 30 on PS5
Suri: The Seventh Note Brings Ancient Indian Aesthetics and Cutting-Edge Rhythm to the PS5
After four years of passionate development, we are thrilled to finally unveil our debut game, Suri: The Seventh Note. This immersive adventure is set to launch on the PlayStation 5 on October 30, 2026, promising players a journey that melds breathtaking visuals with a deeply resonant cultural tapestry.
The world of Suri is a vibrant tapestry woven from rich artistic and architectural traditions of India. Every environment, character, and animation has been meticulously illustrated to create a distinctive visual identity, drawing inspiration from Rajput forts, Theyyam Culture, Himalayan monasteries, and diverse regional cultures. The result is a fantasy world that feels both instantly familiar and wonderfully original.
But Suri is more than just a beautiful backdrop; it is a rhythm game built around mastery and flow. Players are invited to chase perfect runs, uncover hidden paths, and master every movement ability within a world built entirely for exploration. This experience seamlessly brings together captivating gameplay, evocative music, and profound culture.
The Soundtrack of Suri
The attention to sound design is just as profound as the visuals. We aimed to create music that is not just heard, but mastered. Eighty percent of the score in the game is recorded using original analogue instruments rather than synthesized sounds, ensuring the authentic texture of the music shines through. Throughout the world, players will experience a layered medley of instruments reflecting various regions of India.
The musical inspiration is a journey across the subcontinent. When players explore the southern regions of Suri, for example, the music incorporates the sounds of the veena, while the desert portions of the game draw heavily from the musical traditions of Rajasthan.
Mastering the Beat: The 480 Millisecond Challenge
A significant challenge in developing a rhythm game is harmonizing diverse musical styles with the physical speed of player input. To solve this, we introduced a unique timing constraint: a minimum time window of 480 milliseconds between main beats. This interval is the sweet spot, providing the player with enough time to react and allow for a controlled fail window, ensuring that the interaction feels responsive yet deeply rhythmic.
This careful timing allows the game to maintain momentum while giving the player clarity, preventing the experience from feeling slow or disconnected. This balance between responsiveness and rhythmic clarity is key to the core gameplay loop.
While the sounds are rooted in Indian aesthetics, the overall musical structure is a sophisticated hybrid. We took a hip-hop-like framework and layered it with authentic Indian percussion instruments, resulting in a bouncy, energetic sound that is neither aggressive nor overwhelming.
A Partnership in Creation
Suri: The Seventh Note is especially proud to be part of the PlayStation India Hero Project. Working closely with the PlayStation team has been invaluable, helping us bring our vision to life, particularly in developing our Rhythm Haptics Engine and ensuring the game feels perfectly integrated into the PS5 experience.
Players have two ways to experience Ajira’s epic journey: the Standard Edition, which includes the Base Game and a 20% pre-order discount with a PlayStation Plus membership, or the Digital Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe edition offers exclusive content, including the coveted Chandini Skin and extra DLC, along with three days of early access to the full game.
We have spent years building the island of Suri—its world, its music, its movement, and its rhythm. Now, we are counting down to the moment you can experience it for yourself. Prepare to feel every beat when Suri: The Seventh Note launches on PlayStation 5 on October 30, 2026.
