This request immediately threw him into confusion. Harada explained that as someone who had traveled extensively and maintained strong English skills, he was utterly baffled by the phrase. His initial reaction was one of sheer panic: he genuinely believed the fans were suggesting an invitation to a party where they would be beaten up and roasted.

He recounted his stunned interpretation: “I read it as: ‘Hey… we… we… can invite you to a party where we’re going to beat you up and roast you?’”

Harada confessed that once he understood the concept, the subsequent images of giant smokers and enormous cuts of meat only amplified his shock. He admitted that if given the chance, he would have flown to the United States immediately, regretting not accepting that perfect opportunity.
