Tomb Raider Catalyst PS5 delayed to 2028
Made to wait for Croft’s next adventure.
Lara Croft’s legacy continues to unfold across the PlayStation platform, promising two major entries that are currently enjoying a significant timeline shift. Fans eager to dive back into the mythos can get a dose of history soon, while those waiting for brand new content are being asked to settle in for a much longer wait.
First up is Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, which offers players a chance to relive the original and beloved adventure. This title is set to arrive early next year, providing immediate access to that classic experience.
However, the true headline for modern Tomb Raider fans is the fate of the newest installment, Tomb Raider Catalyst. Originally slated for release in 2027, this highly anticipated new chapter has been pushed further into the future.
The development schedule has seen a significant adjustment: both games were initially planned for release in 2026 and 2027, but now both titles will be released one year after those original intentions. This means that while the legacy content is ready for immediate play, the brand new adventure will have to patiently wait until 2028.
The delay ensures that when Tomb Raider Catalyst finally arrives in 2028, it will be an even grander event for adventurers everywhere.
