Venom, Thor, Jubilee, and Phoenix Cyclops arrive in Marvel Tokon Year One
Get ready for some cosmic chaos, because Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is about to get a major upgrade, welcoming a powerful new wave of superheroes into its colorful fighting roster.
PlayStation has officially unveiled the full lineup of playable characters for the Year One DLC, introducing a dynamic mix of iconic figures. Players can now dive into the action alongside Spider-Man’s chaotic frenemy, Venom, the energetic X-Men member Jubilee, Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor, and a thrilling new take on Cyclops, who has been consumed by the volatile power of the Phoenix.
The expansion isn’t just about adding faces; it’s about injecting new fighting styles and narrative tension into the game. The decision to introduce a Phoenix version of Cyclops was a strategic choice made by the developers, Arc Systems, aiming to challenge themselves and present a visual style players haven’t seen before.
This unique interpretation is inspired by the dramatic Avengers vs. X-Men storyline. Cyclops is designed as an all-rounder, showcasing mastery over both long-range combat and brutal close-range strikes, utilizing his powerful Optic Blasts. This interpretation promises fresher visuals and a more exciting fighting experience for players.
The roster continues to expand with major arrivals scheduled for later in the year. Next up is Jane Foster’s Thor, who will unleash the electrifying power of the God of Thunder while wielding the legendary Mjolnir. Later this year, the slimy symbiote, Venom, will join the fray, and he will arrive alongside a brand new post-launch stage called Klyntar, an artificial planet hosting the alien symbiotes.
Adding to the anticipation, the X-Men mainstay Jubilee is slated to join the roster as the final Year One character, arriving sometime in summer 2027.
The entire Year One pass costs $35, and it is conveniently included with the game’s Deluxe and Ultimate editions, making this expansive experience accessible to all fans of the Marvel universe.
