Where to Preorder MTG Reality Fracture Expansion Out This Week
Get ready to fracture reality, because the latest expansion from Magic: The Gathering, Reality Fracture, is set to redefine the multiverse. While the world might be waiting for further adventures in Middle-Earth or Star Trek, this new set is delivering an explosion of creative chaos, pushing the boundaries of what Magic can look like through the lens of Universes Beyond and Universes Within.
At the heart of the Fracture lies Jace Beleren, who is actively reshaping the multiverse to his own vision. The set doesn’t just introduce new cards; it twists iconic characters and lore, creating a stunning new ‘Echoverse’ filled with implications, including Hexhaven versions of Strixhaven’s schools. It’s a narrative journey wrapped in collectible cards, promising deep lore for every player and collector.
The anticipation has been palpable, and the launch is just around the corner. After an exciting prerelease experience this past weekend, players are now gearing up for the full release on October 2nd. If you’re looking to jump into the action and build a presence in this new reality, the supply chain is already buzzing.
Finding Reality Fracture boosters and sets requires a bit of hunting, as major retailers are currently experiencing stock shortages. This means savvy collectors will need to explore options beyond the usual big box stores, turning to places like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, or dedicated marketplaces like TCGplayer to secure their pieces.
For those looking to expand their collections, there are several ways to acquire the set, each offering a different level of value and convenience. The standard Play Boosters are perfect for diving in, offering 30 packs containing 420 cards, including over 60 legendary cards. These can be preordered for $164.70 on Amazon.
If you prefer a more curated approach, the set offers a bundle deal. This package includes 9 Play Boosters, a promo card, full-art lands, a storage box, and a spindown die, all available for preorder at $57.99. It’s the perfect little ‘Fat Pack’ for getting started.
For the serious collector seeking those elusive, highly sought-after items, the Collector Boosters stand out. These have an MSRP of $26.99 but feature alternative art treatments and rarer cards. Be warned: these are the cards that will likely command prices well above MSRP, making reputable marketplaces like TCGplayer essential for hunting them down.
Deckbuilding is also getting a thrilling twist with the upcoming Draft Night event. The Reality Fracture version of Draft Night comes with an $89.99 box, providing 12 Play Boosters and 90 lands. The winner of the draft has the chance to claim a highly coveted Collector Booster.
Adding another layer of excitement, the set also introduces a four-color Commander precon deck titled Multiverse Reforged. Helmed by Jace and featuring alternate reality versions of Magic creatures, this deck includes powerful cards like Ob Nixilis, the Ascended, Omnath, Locus of the Void, and Avacyn, Angel of Horror. This preconstructed deck is available for preorder for $49.99 and is already receiving positive early reviews, proving that the fracturing of reality is about to lead to some seriously compelling gameplay.
