The Frozen Trail: How Arc Raiders is Leveling Up Rewards and Customization

The chase is on, and this time, the reward system in Arc Raiders is getting a serious glow-up. With the latest Frozen Trail update, developer Embark has introduced a new “rewards pass” system designed to deepen player engagement and let raiders express themselves. Forget just grinding for kills; now, mastering the rewards is part of the adventure.

This new structure gives players two distinct paths: the Free Pass and the Premium Pass. The Free Pass grants access to 60 levels of in-game rewards, allowing all players who own the base game to unlock a wide array of basic cosmetics and outfits. But for those who want to dive deeper into the customization abyss, the Premium Pass offers a trove of exclusive items and enhanced currency.

The Premium Pass is packed with 50 additional rewards, including coveted items like the Renzo outfit, the unique Dragon’s Breath Weapon Stencil, and the stylish Bob Hair Style. Beyond these dazzling cosmetics, the Premium Pass also delivers 1,150 extra Raider Tokens, significantly boosting the in-game economy.

What makes this system truly clever is the long-term progression. If dedicated players complete the rewards from both the Free and Premium tracks, they can accumulate more than enough Raider Tokens to purchase another pass, creating a rewarding cycle where completing tasks actually profits the player.

The entire reward system, when combined across both tiers, offers a staggering total of 1,350 Raider Tokens, providing a rich resource for customization and further progression.

Adding another layer of flair, the update introduces a revolutionary system for weapon aesthetics. Through Weapon Stencils, players can now customize the appearance of their weapons. These stencils grant distinct visual aesthetics without affecting any gameplay statistics, ensuring that all the visual flair is purely for vanity.

Executive producer Aleksander Grøndal explains that the premium path is designed purely for cosmetics and visual distinction. It is designed to add glamour and variety, not any sort of gameplay advantage, reinforcing that the quest for the most unique looks is the ultimate prize.

In essence, the Frozen Trail update isn’t just about new weapons; it’s about evolving how players interact with the world, turning progression into a genuine opportunity for cosmetic achievement and making every Raider look as unique as their journey.
