ARK Sunsets Switch Servers This Month
The epic world of dinosaurs and survival has reached a crucial turning point for players on Nintendo Switch. Developer Studio Wildcard has officially announced that server support for the Switch versions of their popular games will be concluding.
Specifically, the servers for Ark: Survival Evolved will be sunset at the end of August.
This transition also affects another title, ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition, which is a rebuilt Switch remaster released back in 2022 by Grove Street Games.
The announcement came directly from the studio in a community update on the game’s message boards. While this news marks an end for active server support, the developers offered a heartfelt note to the community: “We want to thank everyone who has been part of this journey.”
This decision signals a shift in how these titles will be supported moving forward, prompting players to look toward new experiences on the platform. For dedicated survivors and builders, this moment represents both an ending and a transition.
