Magic: The Gathering‘s Corn Maze Drops a Riot of Crossovers
Get ready to trade your usual game night for a trip through the spookiest, most bizarre corners of pop culture. Magic: The Gathering is gearing up for a Halloween takeover with the highly anticipated ‘Corn Maze‘ superdrop, an eclectic collection that pulls together everything from KPop demons and undead superheroes to the mysterious world of Jim Henson.
This October release isn’t just about spooky themes; it’s a wild mashup. The ‘Corn Maze‘ drop features seven returning cards that have been completely reimagined with major characters from beloved franchises, setting the stage for a truly unforgettable adventure in the game.
One of the most intriguing pairings is the inclusion of the KPop Demon Hunters. These seven cards have received a dramatic makeover, bringing the intensity of the movie’s characters into the realm of Magic: The Gathering, adding a fresh, dynamic layer to the existing set.
But the chaos doesn’t stop there. The Corn Maze drop also provides a twisted, darkly humorous take on the Marvel universe with the ‘Marvel: Zombies‘ theme. This collection features gruesome characters like ‘Zombie Captain America’ and ‘Zombie Wolverine’ in unique card forms, perfect for players who enjoy a dose of grim humor.
For those who love a dose of gothic fantasy, the drop also delves into the world of Jim Henson’s legendary creations. Cards from ‘Labyrinth‘ are included, featuring characters like ‘Jodah, the Unifier’ and ‘Muxus, Goblin Grandee,’ weaving a tapestry of fantasy and magic.
The sheer variety of content is staggering. Beyond the major franchises, the collection also boasts unique artist series, including ‘Veronique Meignaud,’ and intriguing thematic sets like ‘Manufactured Grounds by See Machine‘ and ‘Peace, Love, & Treefolk,’ adding depth and unexpected whimsy to the overall experience.
If you’re looking for unique art and deeply themed sets, the Corn Maze drop delivers. All eight featured drops will be available on October 12th in both Traditional Foil and Non-Foil, making this an essential drop for any collector looking to dive into the holiday season with some serious magic.
