Free PS5 Upgrades for Metro 2033 & Last Light this month
Get ready to dive back into the depths of the Moscow tunnels, because the classics are about to get a massive upgrade for the PlayStation 5. Rumors are swirling that native versions of two iconic titles are making their way to the new console, set to be available around October 29th.
These are the highly anticipated Redux versions of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, and the buzz surrounding them suggests something more than just a simple port.
If the whispers hold true regarding fresh ESRB age ratings, it points toward a significant re-evaluation of these atmospheric and intense experiences for the current generation of players.
The fact that these versions, which haven’t officially been announced or released for the PS5 yet, have reportedly received age ratings suggests that 4A Games has ambitious plans for these celebrated titles. This move implies a fresh approach to the franchise, leveraging the popular Redux branding used on the PS4, which itself was a port from the PS3 era.
This development suggests that players can expect a renewed experience of these world-class games, refined and ready for the PS5 hardware.
