The world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt just got a soulful update, thanks to a fresh and evocative soundtrack. Milan Records has released a five-track EP, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past (Original Soundtrack Gamescom 2026 EP), offering the first glimpse into the rich musical identity of the game’s expanded lore.

This collection serves as the sonic accompaniment to Geralt of Rivia’s journey as he returns to the Path, masterfully blending grand orchestral writing with deep, traditional folk influences. The music isn’t just background noise; it’s an immersive experience that captures both the intimacy and the sheer grandeur of a new chapter in Geralt’s epic story.

The EP features stunning compositions from a trio of talented artists: Magda Urbańska, Marcin Przyzbyłowicz, and Daniel Elms. Their work beautifully navigates the complex landscape of Slavic heritage, infusing the score with a unique tone and form that speaks to deep cultural roots.

Magda Urbańska, who brings a classical sensibility to the project, reflected on the creative process. “I’ve worked with classical music for most of my life,” she shared. “But folk requires a completely different sensibility — it has its own tone and form, while also offering enormous creative freedom. Our roots, our Slavic heritage, are something more than that — something that runs deep within us, something that grows out of who we are. I hope we’ve managed to preserve The Witcher DNA in these pieces.”

Publisher Milan Records describes the soundtrack as a celebration of the franchise’s enduring global phenomenon. It is a masterful blend of evocative orchestral writing, powerful vocal performances, and regional instrumentation inspired by the world’s diverse cultures, capturing the scope of Geralt’s adventure.

The five tracks invite listeners into the heart of the narrative, offering emotional depth that complements the world’s evolving story. The tracklist includes:

  • Return to the Path – Magda Urbańska
  • Awoken – Magda Urbańska
  • Into Darkness – Daniel Elms
  • What’s Done – Marcin Przyzbyłowicz
  • Belleteyn Night – Magda Urbańska

The music successfully translates the sprawling world of The Witcher into an auditory experience that is both grand and intimate. It stands as a testament to how music can enhance a legendary narrative, reminding us that the greatest adventures often come wrapped in the most beautiful melodies.
