After a period of silence, GameSir has made a bold return to the controller market with its revamped Tarantula line, bringing high-performance gaming peripherals back to the forefront. This latest iteration is clearly designed not just for casual play, but for competitive enthusiasts seeking an edge in reaction time and precision.

The core of this revival lies in next-generation technology. The new models are instantly competitive, featuring an impressive 8K polling rate model for PC players, alongside an officially licensed Xbox variant. This high polling rate places the Tarantula directly in conversation with top rivals like the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro and updated GameSir G7 Pro, pushing input responsiveness to a new level.

Under the hood, the control experience has been fundamentally upgraded. The controller utilizes Gen-2 Mag-Res TMR sticks, which offer superior tactile feedback and precision. While the 8K polling rate makes these sticks highly sensitive—a feature that demands adjustment from veteran players—the resulting accuracy is undeniable.

Beyond the stick technology, GameSir has addressed longevity and feel with significant mechanical changes. Upgrading from the original Tarantula Pro, the new PC model incorporates clicky microswitches in the face buttons, D-pad, and trigger stops. These switches boast an estimated lifespan of up to 5 million clicks, ensuring durability for intense gaming sessions.

Ergonomics are also key. The Tarantula Pro line maintains a lightweight design, weighing just 180g with a minimal 0.25ms latency, making it incredibly agile. For those who prefer advanced aiming, the controllers also include six-axis gyro controls for precise in-game manipulation.

The new designs offer expanded customization features, including retention of the original back buttons, mappable face buttons (including a dedicated touchpad button), and two extra shoulder paddles that can be assigned to various functions. The aesthetic is equally striking, with the 8K PC model sporting a vibrant orange colorway, along with a special edition MenaRD version.

While both the Xbox and PC versions are confirmed, it is worth noting that both configurations currently support wired play only, marking a slight divergence from the original Tarantula Pro’s wireless capabilities. This shift focuses performance on direct, latency-free connectivity.

GameSir continues to innovate, with an ultra model featuring vibration motors also confirmed in the pipeline. Although no release date has been set for this heavier, vibration-equipped version yet, anticipation is high for when this next evolution of the Tarantula line will hit the market.
