Even a year after its monumental launch, Arc Raiders continues to captivate players, maintaining tens of thousands of concurrent players on Steam daily. Behind this consistent engagement, developer Embark has been busy cooking up something truly massive. The studio is set to deliver their biggest update since launch, Frozen Trail, which promises to inject fresh action and deep customization into the extraction shooter.

To celebrate this highly anticipated release, Embark is rolling out a four-day free trial between October 8 and October 12. This trial is available to all players across Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, offering a full look at the game’s core PvPvE extraction mode alongside the new Frozen Trail content.

The centerpiece of the update is the brand-new Pendola Pass map. Raiders will be dropped into a stunning, snowy, mountainous region of Italy, shadowed by the presence of a fallen “Emperor” Arc Robot. This frozen Italian landscape features an abandoned supermarket and a town square, emphasizing verticality and offering unique tactical challenges.

Players will experience intense new dynamics on Pendola Pass, including a unique “Flash Freeze” sequence that forces unexpected shelter and quick thinking. Furthermore, the new environment introduces a dynamic social element, allowing new players to immediately join existing teams to explore the area.

Beyond the visual spectacle, Frozen Trail introduces a host of new tools and weaponry designed to enhance player expression and combat depth. Raiders can now equip the powerful “Stiletto” battle rifle and the agile “Bantam” revolver. Movement and utility are dramatically expanded with the addition of the grappling hook, Tether Launcher, and Yank Grenade.

Adding a layer of creative freedom, the update includes a comprehensive weapons modification system, allowing players to achieve personalized cosmetic looks through a transmog feature. Customizable player bases, expanded skill tree options, a new handheld camera, and even whimsical new instruments like the banjo and harmonica tie the entire experience together.

To consolidate all this fresh content, Embark is also including new quests, trials, and a tiered battle pass system, ensuring that the excitement generated by Frozen Trail lasts long after the initial launch.
